Our Mission: Helios Energy aims to build a sustainable business that helps Ontario address its energy needs in a clean, renewable and responsible manner.
Helios Energy was founded in 2006 to explore large-scale solar PV development opportunities in Ontario, Canada. We have completed and commissioned 35 MW of solar PV projects and currently have another 40 MW in various stages of development around Ontario.
Our Ground-Mounted Solar Division is focused on the development of utility-scale (10 MW+) solar parks. To date, the largest projects that Helios Energy has developed are Amherstburg I (20 MW) and Amherstburg II (15 MW), both of which were commissioned and began operating in the Summer of 2011.
Helios Energy’s Rooftop Solar Division has partnered with Kruger Energy Inc. to develop rooftop solar energy systems in North America. The joint venture, KH Solar LP, develops the solar energy systems and Kruger Energy acts as the long-term owner-operator of these projects. This partnership brings together the extended investment horizon and operational experience of Kruger Energy, one of Canada’s most established renewable energy companies, and the solar development and design expertise of Helios Energy, a leader in the Canadian solar industry.
